A large number of contacts, including some 40 promising contacts to producers, municipal utilities, universities and consultancies were made by Riempp’s staff at the E-World in Essen. At the 3-day leading trade fair for the Central European energy industry, the company from Oberboihingen was one of 710 exhibitors from 30 countries. “Our emsyst 4.0 energy management system gave us a unique selling point,” says the Managing Director, Friedrich E. Riempp.
emsyst 4.0 was developed in 2013 with the aim of preventing energy wastage in the context of the German government’s decision to pull out of nuclear energy. The solution generated high interest among the 25,000 trade visitors from 74 countries: The complex, computer and SPS-based system uses radio communication and sensors to network all the elements of building services, production and administration. Even PV systems, batteries or e-fuel stations can be integrated. This allows users to document consumption and demand, avoid waste or delay load peaks.
It is not rare for the EUR 27,000 basic version to pay for itself in under two years. “emsyst 4.0 is often the key element in making a company CO2-neutral” says Riempp, who plans to sell at least 40 of the systems in 2017. Customers include not only medium-sized enterprises but also licenced BMW dealerships as well as ECE, which runs some 200 shopping centres around the country.
A team of four provided information about emsyst 4.0 on our 36-square-metre stand. The technological innovation already provides jobs for almost 20 fitters, programmers, consultants and sales staff. Riempp expects to reach the return-on-investment point for the one-million-euro development in 2017. He is looking for electrical companies throughout Germany as partners to sell, install, program and maintain the system on his behalf.
